Skills learned during this HSE approved 3 day FAW Course in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk are:

• Barrier use
• Primary and secondary assessment
• CPR
• Serious Bleeding management
• Shock management
• Spinal injury
• Choking management
• Injury and illness assessment
• Bandaging and fracture care
• First aid kit and accident reporting
• H&S legislation in relation to first aid

The course includes theory sessions and plenty of hands on practice throughout, and will involve practical assessments on the last day of your course.

The course is informative, yet enjoyable, to ensure students gain maximum retention of the skills learned during the 3 days. On successful completion of this course you will be issued with a certificate which is valid for 3 years. Holders of the First Aid at Work Certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

The HSE strongly recommend you refresh your skills annually on a refresher course, we therefore will be able to offer you an annual refresher course of 3 Hours to keep your skills current.

All of our courses are run using HSE approval through awarding International First Aid Training companies such as Qualsafe, First Aid International and Emergency First Response.
